Teachers are bullies too

    Aside from the obvious issue here, I also have red flags going up when any teacher is trying to relate to kids on that level. I've just seen the sexual abuse cases too often to trust an adult that's trying to act juvenile to attract children as "buddies."

    This is part of the reason I wanted to homeschool my daughter. I've been a Stay at home mom since my girls were born. They've never been to daycare or even had a babysitter (simply because we haven't needed one, nothing against having a sitter once in awhile :) yet I'm expected to leave my daughter with a someone who I don't know all day long... that just didn't make sense to me. You just can't possibly know the morals and values of everyone who teaches your child in a PS setting. And I've had really GREAT PS teachers!!! It's so hard to keep your children safe (mentally and physically) when their caregivers are people you don't know and then they don't have to answer for treating children cruelly. I feel very blessed that I get the opportunity to homeschool. So many other people don't have a choice!
