http://www.mysavingsquest.com/ Your children get a job , work toward a savings goal, put away for retirement and learn to pay taxes, rent, utilities, etc. Make sure you have the sound on also. It is really fun and this weekend my dd's played it non- stop! They really enjoyed solving the problems to get their pay checks! ALSO...on the opening page it says : Teachers- request materials. Just fill that out ( I called to make sure Homeschoolers could get the materials and the lady said "of course you can! ") and where it says School address just put your home address.
Crystal, that is a neat site. I played it and it was fun. I think my dgs will like doing this too, we just was talking about jobs, budgets, etc. I also ordered the other material.
Thanks, we were not able to play I have dail up and it is taking to long to load, but I sent off for the free Materials!
Amy, we have dial up too, and it did load slow, but once it is loaded it runs well. Joyce had a blast with it last evening.
My materials arrived yesterday! It only took 3 days to get here! It came with reproducables, CD-Rom of the online game and a money saving box. One side of the box is for long term saving and the other side is for short term saving. My dd's think this box is cool and the babysitting money that they are getting tonight is going right into the box! Those are their words not mine, they are saving for a subscription to Discovery girls and American girls magazines ( short term goal) and their long term goal is to save alot of spending money for our trip to Bryce Canyon and the Grand Canyon next year.
Can't wait to get mine. Probably will come when we are on vacation. Then dgs can start saving for the next vacation.
Thanks for the link. I jsut sent for the teacher materials. I think we will do this together. Who knows, maybe I'll learn a thing or two (lol).
Well I got on it today and it ran pretty fast. My son is not home to check it out. But looked neat I played for a little while!
