We are doing well. The books I chose for ds are helping. I've only had a couple of outburst from him. He started doing his old tricks of writing any answer down and learned very quickly he will have to write the question and answer over if he didn't answer the question logically. He didn't enjoy doing that at all. So far so good. Keeping everything crossed.

The other two are doing well with SOS. However, I am not at all impressed with the math. There is not a teacher guide. Only answers that don't really explain how they got the answers. The curriculum is confusing in and of itself. They leave out a lot of explanation and steps. I have had to go online nightly and figure it out first to teach them. I have let them know my disappointment in this area.

In other news. I had a teacher friend of ours take it upon themselves to print out a copy of the GED practice test. I didn't ask them to do it. I looked at it the other night out of curiosity only cause my kids will be given an actual High School Exit Exam and not take the GED test. It was amazing to me how they have made the test so easy. I took it myself and got a 100 on all of them. Their questions were so easy and way to basic. My kids could take it right now and pass. I kinda want to go to this friend and say "Is that all you've got?". My oldest daughter has the actual GED book and the stuff that was in the book was not on the test.

That pretty much wraps it up for us for now. Hope everyone is having a wonderful time with their children.

    Thanks for the update. :)

I do not how accurate this is, but I heard that the GED was made so an 8th grader can pass. True or not, I don't know.

regarding the SOS math that is the one subject we voted we didn't like either its not a good plan to do math totally on the computer. You cannot find the mistakes reasons there.

It's not to bad on the computer. We have small dry erase boards for them to do their work on so I'm able to catch any mistakes they may make. I don't like that there is not a teachers guide at all or how they supposedly teach it to the students. It has a lot of gaps in the instruction. I'm now thinking of purchasing a calculus book. I really didn't want to have to do that.
