My stepdaughter said something to me the other day that brought tears to my eyes. She said "I have to believe in Jesus because when I was six I asked him for a mommy that would love me and take me places. And he listened! Did Jesus tell you to meet my daddy?" And since we met at church, I was able to honestly say "Yes."
I got tears in my eyes just reading it, so I can imagine how it made you feel! I'm happy that she loves you as her mommy!!!
That is one of the best things I ever read!!!!! Write it down and keep it in your bible! It will remind you of God's love and to walk worthy of your calling...which you are. (and in tough times that we all have it will remind you what is really in her heart....what she said will never change.)
i felt a surge of emotions reading about what you've just said. Words from a kid are just so innocent and truthful. I am sure that she had meant what she said to you and am convinced that you must have been a great mum to her!
