http://www.huffingtonpost.com/russell-shaw/lets-restrict-home-schoo_b_49013.html I enjoyed reading the comments
Thanks for the link, it just shows how ignorant some people are. I don't think he will get his wish any time soon.
All I can say is that people who write articles like these know very little about home schooling and haven't met very many home schooled individuals.
That article is crap. Where does he get his information from? Oh, maybe from watching wife swap. LOL There ya go now That's educational! Religion has already been removed from public schools so why not go into the homes of homeschoolers and remove it there too.
What?? You mean those shows aren't real??? As with everything on TV, those shows do whatever it takes to get ratings-- whether using those with extremist views or simply creative editing to get the desired effect. Basing your view on a reality show is pretty ignorant.
oh my goodness!!! the comment about wife swap and homeschooling. Do people really think that is an accurate discription. Man people are so very easily led by tv.
 grrrr That guy has swallowed the propaganda he learnt at ps hook, line and sinker. AND he has failed to research before inflicting it on the rest of the population. And as for scientific method...don't get me started. Anyone who knows anything about scientific method also knows that the theory of evolution is just that, a theory.....little more than philosophy, and un-proovable by science. I know lots of scientists, and many of them are creationsits. They comment that the more you know about the world & science, the more certain you are about intelligent design! Maybe he should be hs'd so he can learn how to think!
I laughed at the third comment. I never knew I was wealthy! I guess that's how I afford so many bon-bons.
WOW! I don't even know what to say. I'm glad to find out I'm rich too! Although in the seclusion I am forcing upon my kids, about the only thing we can do is eat those bon-bons with you Becky, and watch tv all the time! What else shall I do with all my money? I'm really concerned about that! Oh, whooops, if I'm isolationistic (is that a word?) I guess the kids and I will eat the bon-bons (and icecream) in our own house. We certainly wouldn't want to make friends with anyone! Sorry we can't join you Becky!
I got a kick out of this! The first few posters do not have a clue! Although I must admit I am so relieved to finally know that I am rich!  ...and all this time I have been trying to save here and there when I actually didn't need to. Patty
Aw, come on over, Deena. We'll let the breadwinners make our supper. We rich gals can't mess up our nail jobs with pots and pans. Plus, Sergio will be here for my hot wax soon....
ROFLMBO! Me too! As for the article, all I can say is... ugh. Just... ugh. Is anyone close enough to go slap this idiot over his forehead??
I dunno Becky. I need to recklessly spend all my money and brainwash my kids, so I'm not sure I have time. Plus, I have to watch tv mindlessly with my kids too. So, as you see, I'm quite busy! Besides, they might meet someone who's not a homeschooler, and that would really be bad for them! Tell Sergio hello!
Lol- you don't want to meet Sven, do ya girl?? I gotta be honest.. I let him go. He just couldn't make a decent cup of coffee.
That actually is my #1 concern with homeschooling. I almost ended up that way but a revolation a year or so back changed that.
