Sometimes, I think that life would be so much simpler if we didn't homeschool, but I just can't imagine ever going back!
It's amazing how much baloney you avoid with homeschooling. We were just talking about that the other day. Man, the school's lucky my kids aren't there. I'd be in complaining all the time!
I swear our local ps manufactured stress to keep parents off-balance. Constant garbage we had to deal with, even when the kids were doing a-ok in school. Homeschooling is WAY easier for us, as well.
Today was a loooooong day! DS was taking as long as possible for every subject, and he wouldn't stop complaining all day. I think it was mostly because he knew that today was a holiday, and we sill had to do school. BUT!!! I still wouldn't trade our worst day homeschooling for our best day in public school.
Our older two graduated from public school. I have no doubt that we are doing right by homeschooling Ems. It is wonderful to see her growing.
I totally understand this feeling. But having had a few years of no kids I realize life is dull without them and they will be gone too soon. Its a hard job to homeschool some days but so rewarding. I can't imagine the free feeling we are giving our kids. What a gift it must be to homeschool from their side of the fence.
Yeah, everytime I start to think it would be easier if we didn't homeschool, I try to picture myself getting up at 6:30 and getting 3/4th of my sons dressed, fed, etc. before 7:30... 5 days a week. I'll stick with homeschooling, thank you very much.
