wow trying to find lesson plans for tomorrow i stumbled across this site is that a blessing or what i just pulled my 5th grader from the public school system and i have discovered that i will have more homework than she does thank you for such a helpful site laurie from wi.
Welcome Laurie!! I think you will find, in time, that your child can learn very well WITHOUT tons of time on your part. right now it seems overwhelming, but you'll get the hang of it. Just relax and let her learn.
Welcome Laurie! I'm so glad you found us. And I'm glad you decided to take the plunge. It seems it's harder to do it midyear. Just remember that you and your child are going to need quite a while for adjustment. He/she may not be ready for all out school right now. Especially if they've had a rough time in public school. Take it slow to start and be ready to take cues from your child. If it doesn't seem to be working, change the plan. You don't have to do school at home. Just let him/her learn. It will take some time to really nail down how your child learns best. Take that time. I'm sure other moms will have a million more thoughts for you, but for now I'm going to stop rambling. Again, welcome and good luck
Welcome! (I am the town Ditzy Blonde). I searched for a moment to the link she referred to then figured it out that she was talking about THIS place... Geeesh! I need a curriculum for real life! hahahah! Welcome where we are more human than most folks! haha!
Welcome! I'm not blonde, but I was confused at first, too! I used to teach 5th grade before staying home with my son. That is a great age!
