9 Kids and a bun in the oven!! This should be interesting. My ds, Kenson is a senior this year! Hes taking World Lit.(EIL), American Government(SOS), Chemistry w/lab(Apologia), Bible Study, Trigonometry(SOS), Chinese(DK). Plus a couple of extra's through Co-Op Dd, Adaly is a Freshman this year. She is taking Pre algebra/pre geometry (AOP), Writing/grammar (BJ), Spanish 1(AOP), Drawing Basics (AOP), World History (streams of civilization), Bible study, Life Science (science Sheperd) The twins Levi and Lincoln and dd Ellyson and ds Colton will be doing History and Science together. History through Living books and R.E.A.L Science odessey Earth and Space. Plus Bible studies The twins - Math grade 5 (BJ) , AOP language arts Ellyson - Horizons math and Reason for Handwriting book C also early reading comp. Book B Colton - The complete book of grade 2 Rylan and Jeran - Kindergarten workbooks picked up from various stores. Lots of cutting and learning to use a pencil etc. Selena - Playing w/ Blocks I've worked for the past 2 weeks and I think I have all the lesson plans ready to go. Having the 5 kids who all need lots of "mommy" attention plus and Hs'er who struggles w/ math will make this a very hectic year. but i'm definetly very excited and I think the kids our as well. Having a 2 day ease in period I think will work out well for our Family.
Best wishes for you! I agree with the others about being tired after reading your post lol! I hope you can fall into a routine quickly.
You Are Organized, You are Ready, YOU will have a great first year. Congratulations! I started homeschooling 6 years ago. My only advise is don't get frustrated if your perfect plan day gets messed up. It takes awhile for you and the student to get in a groove. I know in the beginning I planned so well but had a hard time "getting it all done" each day. I finally figured out what was reasonable for my sons and myself. Just remember don't let the plan (to get it done) mess up your relationship with the kids. I almost did this getting upset that "they weren't getting it all done" Home school is not PS or private so don't go in with the same expectations. I realized how much PS is about checking boxes and not real learning.
