It's TV-Turnoff Week. Starting on the 23rd of April through the 29th. Other things to do instead of watching tv: Walk the dog, take a hike, run a half-mile, climb a hill (roll down that hill) , play a game, visit a park, ride a bike, read a book, throw a ball, visit a friend, put on a show, draw a picture, have a conversation, smell the roses, something that I thought of that would be fun, borrow a CD from the library of an old time radio show, pop popcorn and sit around the "radio" with your family. Anyone have any more ideas of what can be done instead of watching tv?
play table games, go on bike rides, pull weeds , make cookies , play hide-and-seek, sing songs together, SCRAPBOOK....
That's a great idea Crystal! I may steal that one! Let us know how it turns out! Oh yeah, that reminds me---- When dd (now 10) was 3, we did a David and Goliath play just the three kids with me recording it. It was so fun! We meant to do more, and never got around to it---I wish we would have! The kids love looking back at this one, and laughing at how they sounded at what they said. But it's so neat to look back on!
This should be an easy week for us...I don't think our tv has been on since January. A few more ideas, plant a garden, build a birdhouse, wash your car, make ice cream.
