My uncle is down to his last few days, if not hours, due to cancer. He is at home being cared for by both his wife and my mom. I am asking for prayers for peace and ease during this time. Of particular concern is my father. This is his brother, but he can't bring himself to see him, only talk by phone. For my father, this will be his third loss in six months. First a son, than a cousin, and now a brother. My father is not a believer.
I am so sorry about your uncle. I will be praying that your father will be at peace with his decision about seeing or not seeing his brother. We all deal with death in our own way. Your father has lost a great deal in such a short time. I will pray for him. Beth
So sorry to hear this, will pray for peace for the family and will send up a special prayer for your father as well.
Thank you all for the prayers. My uncle is still hanging in there, but very weak. Hoping my father will see him in person tomorrow.
So sorry to hear, that is so hard to deal with. Don't push your dad to go see him some people just can't or don't want to see them that way, they want to remember them the other way...
I will pray, too. My grandmother lost her husband, her mother, her only two brothers and a daughter in 13 months time. My dh's Aunt lost her sister ( who was my dh's mom), her husband and both her parents in 8 months time. We attended these all these funerals starting with my grandfather and ending with my aunt. 13 months. There were two dear church family members that passed away during that time, too. Just thought I'd share that I understand your concern for your father. God is good. I will pray for his salvation. ((((hugs to you)))
My uncle passed away this afternoon in his home. My dad was at his side. Thank you for your prayers for all involved and especially for my dad.
Hugs! Sending my condolences on the loss of your uncle. I'm waiting for "the" call about a dear friend who is in hospice care as I type, dying from pancreatic cancer. It's so difficult. I'll keep your family in my prayers.
