Update: Kathy made it through surgery. They did need to remove her colon so she will have to have a colostomy bag. She will be in icu for a week or two (they think) just to make sure they got all the infections. She is such a fighter! Thank you for the continued prayers. Maureen Hi All My sister is in critical condition and surgery at the moment. Some background: My sister Kathy had a double anyerusum mid Oct. She was doing well and was sent home the begining of Nov. After beign home for 5 days she had a seizure and stroke (a new bleed at one of the sites) coupled with an infection that spread to her brain and bones. Well the begining of this month she was transfered to a long term care facility. They just started her on semi soft food again about a week ago. Yesterday she complained of some stomach pain not too bad but by night time her stomach was distended. They transfered her to another hospital for tests. This morning it was very bad!!! She had to have emergency exploritory surgery of her colon and they may have to remove her colon. The doctors are not sure she will make it through the surgery. Please pray for her, my Mother (who lives by her and has really been taking care of everything) and her 2 teenage daughters. My sister is a widow and her girls are in high school (senior and sophmore-who has cerebral palsy but not wheelchair bound). Thank you Maureen
I am praying for your sister, her daughters, and all else involved. This must be such a trying situation! I just lost a friend I went to college with (age 46) from an aneurism. She has a 10yo son! It's so terrible when things like this happen! Please keep us updated!
