US History / Geography Combo

    I am wanted to do a US History and US Geography study with my 3rd and 1st grader. Any ideas on what to use? No lapbooking, please!:D

    We used Sonlight. You could easily do their history/geography with both ages. The only thing you would probably have to do is change the readers for the 1st grader.

    Concentrate on the history, and do the geography in connection with it. Do mapping, etc., as you go along. You can pretty much do your own thing.

    Enchanted Learning has some really nice state stuff you can do for the geography aspect. I do think it's part of the site for members only, but it would be worth it for the states. They'll have a coloring page for the flag of each state, also a mapping page for each state. They also have pages for the different regions.

    Winterpromise is also similar to Sonlight- but did not use WP younger curriculum for history so not sure how it is as far as what you'd like.
