I just found this site: http://www.lovetolearnplace.com/ (sorry if it's been posted before) On the left under navigation, if you go to history and then continue to sourcework in the middle of the page, scroll down some, they have MANY historical documents on pdf and ALSO worksheets to go with them! I happened on this while trying to come up with stuff for the Dec. of Ind. They also have stuff under poetry for older hymns, what they meant and worksheets for those too. I haven't explored the whole site, but it will come in handy for me.
Thanks you. I've added it to my favorites and will check into it more as times allows, but it looks like a good resource.
I've spent a little more time looking at it, and much of the stuff is for older kids, maybe 4-5th and up. They have some great pdf book report forms that are set up by grade level--1st-6th. Also, in the poetry selection, if you go to poetry 101 and 102 they have some really interesting studies on old hymns. I just have never run across anything like this. Let me know what you think. I'm still searching through it. edit..they have a movie section that lists movies by time period and historical topic. It all seems VERY appropriate so far... I'm kind of jazzed!! edit..everything is intertwined with scripture.--still looking last edit...they do have a few broken links(very frustrating)
