My husband and I made it a family event. We explained everything that we were doing. They were all quite interested. Of course, getting a sticker at the end was the highlight. ;)

I said no, but that was THIS TIME. I usually do take them. It's just I went very early this morning, and decided to let them sleep in. I'm glad they're old enough that I don't HAVE to take them any more! The important thing is that they KNOW Mom and Dad voted, and make it a priority!

I put yes because even though my dd is 18, she is my child! The youngest got the honors of helping my dh watch the dgds. She's gone with me before so I didn't feel too bad. Especially waiting for 3 hours like that! I was so pleased to come home and find that she had taken the initiative to cook them scrambled eggs for breakfast. She could have just done cereal!

Yup took the boys along with me as well as snacks and games and books for them but then the line was very short and we didn't need them.

But it's better to be prepared and not need them, than to not bring them and wish you had!!!

So True Jackie...the reason I did that was when they showed the lines for early voting they were wraped around entire blocks!!!! I was afraid that voting day would be the same and they we telling us to be prepared for VERY long waits. So I took all I needed for them but didn't need any of it.

I voted "yes", but I actually only had 2 of the 4 with me. The older two were in a Book Club at the time I voted.

We always take ours. The polling place is really small, like less then 100 people vote there. They plan for us and our kids. My 4yo was telling people in the grocery store today that we went to vote, and why, and who the president was. It was a nice time to easily tell them what we were doing. We never have to wait so that isn't a problem for us.

Dh and I ABSOLUTELY took them with us. We have for years. This year they have been extremely interested in the campaigns, so there was NO way we'd even be able to leave them home without a fight! LOL

I didn't. I left Sam home to watch Grace. I only had to go a few streets over.

I have taken them every other time. Sam is really into the election.
