What do you use to hang posters and stuff like that on the wall? I don't want to use tape because I don't want the paint to come off the wall. I know 3M makes some stuff I can use but it is kind of expensive. Any other ideas out there?

If your walls are white you can use white toothpaste.

I use sticky tack (walmart). You only need a tiny bit that smashes down to the size of a dime on each corner. It leaves what looks like an oily residue on my walls, but I think it's just the type or color of paint I have, because I've never known it to leave marks on any other wall.

I use push pins. When I hang something new, I try to use the same holes so I do not make too many small holes. Still, they are easy to cover when we paint.

To hang stuff on the wall? Or to clean it?

I have used white toothpaste to fill holes before. (If your wall is white) It is pretty cool stuff.

To hang.. just a little spot on each corner and it works like sticky tack without oiling your walls or pulling off the paint like I have had it do.

I LOVE the 3M stuff and I'm willing to pay for it. It sticks better than anything else I've tried and leaves no damage to the walls.

I have never tried it on colored walls.. but I think it has a bleaching effect on things, so I'm afraid :p
