Want to Ty- dye Need HELP?

    I want to ty dye some shirts with my girls haven't done it before so need some ideas and help?
    What all do I need and is it hard.

    They sell kits at ...

    Hobby Lobby and Michaels for tye-dying shirts. I honestly have never done it but it seems fairly easy especially with the kit. Good luck!

    You need rubber bands
    Dye
    T-shirt (or material).

    Tie parts of the shirt with rubber bands.
    You can get different affects by the way you tie the shirt.
    You can accordion pleat parts of it and then tie with a rubber band.
    You can just grab a section and bind with a rubber band.

    Once done, soak in dye.
    You can repeat this with another color after the shirt dries, or you can dip it into several colors by only dipping certain sections.

    Hang to dry. Good project to do outside.

    I use Rit dye. You can use natural dyes, like beet juice and coffee, but they are more muted. :)

    It's rather easy. Often the dye has instructions on it. I think that, after you do a color, you should dunk it right away in cold water to "set" it.
