We live pretty close to DC and have been many times for "fun", but we have just finished studying WW1 and WW2 and we were going to visit the DC area in hopes of seeing it with different eyes. We will be visiting the Holocaust Museum and many of the memorials. I am looking for some type of teaching guide or activity sheet for my 12 year olds to do as we go through. Like a check list, a bingo, a guide, etc. SOmething that will help them focus on the details of the trip. We have been so many times before, that it is easy to just see it the same way as we always have.

    ANY suggestions would be great.;)

I wonder if there is a scavenger hunt type activity? I know that school kids visiting Colonial Williamsburg had one (when we were visiting for their homeschool days). I'm not sure if was from CW or from their teacher.

Just a thought. We live in Newport News (hubby assigned to Ft. Monroe). I'm hoping to bring the kids to DC in the fall.
