Yesterday there was a big wasp nest by our house and two wasps got me and my YS. It hurt REALLY bad and I felt horrible for my YS to have to go through that. I got on a coat, long pants, and gloves and took the nest down and smashed it. Hopefully they wont come back anymore.

Anyway, it stung me on the arm, turned bright red, and then my back locked up. I dont know if my back had anything to do with it or not, but it got so tight, like guitar strings, it has never gotten that bad before. Today its better but I still have that huge red spot on my arm although it isnt sore anymore. Do you think its an allergy?

My YS sting went away, you cant tell it was even there now, but mine is still red and pretty huge. I had never been stung by a wasp. I have been stung by other bee's though and nothing like this ever happened before. Are wasp stings differnt than other bee's? Is it supposed to stay red for this long?

take a credit card and rub across your arm end first to make sure the stinker is out. Might of left a stinker in there.

You can also make a poultice of baking soda and warm water. You want it to be on the thick side. Leave it on until it's dry and then gently wash it off. It helps to pull the stinger out.
