We live in a part of Texas where the season does not bring us a change in the color of leaves. We have mesquite trees and cactus, but no beautiful leaves! I was wondering if anyone would be interested in sending us a small box of beautiful fall leaves?! I would gladly send something in return from our area -- deer horns, rattlesnake rattle...or whatever you are interested in learning about from here in South Texas.

    What a great idea!

I can't help you in this area as we do not have fall colors either.

I can! We have beautiful leaves here right now in TN.

We'd love to exchange for anything nature related you'd want to send :)

I can send you some things from NC. We have some magnolia burrs with red berries and I can look for some other things you might like. Let me know. Beth

How would we send them? I mean, if I were to stick them in an envelope, they would get all dried out and broken up. Maybe iron them in wax paper and send them in a big envelope? Any ideas?

I just sent some to SIL. I flattened them first & then I used a small catalog flyer (like from the newspaper). I used a bubble filled envelope. I guess we'll see how they turn.

I just put mine in ziploc baggies (with lots of air trapped inside so they are puffy) and then put those in a box. I hope they'll get there ok. I'm thinking the ziplocs will keep them from drying out too much over just a few days.

I have no idea if it will work or not (mailing leaves..that is..) . But I think it is worth finding out!
I appreciate all of the great responses.
