Troy and I are both standing up in a wedding this Saturday and have yet to buy the bride and groom a present. Ugh. They are two of our best friends and I have NO idea what do for them. I was hoping you all could throw me some creative ideas. We don't have a lot of money to spend, but we still want to do something sentimental for them. HELP!!!
Maybe a nice journal of well-wishes from the wedding party and special guests? My favorite part of our wedding video is comments from each member of our wedding party. We knew nothing about it until we got the videos after the wedding. It was a great surprise!
You could put together a gift basket for them...maybe a romantic dinner basket? Put the ingredients for a nice meal and a couple of candles, maybe line the basket with pretty placemats and cloth napkins...or you could put together a picnic basket. Go to an import type store and get a large basket with a handle and then put in plates/utensils, cups and a throw or tablecloth.
how crafty are you???? I'd go to the craft store and buy one of those pre-cut wood shapes and make 1) a clock decorated in a style that they like with modgepodge (or some other type of decoration 2) a bathroom type sign......... "my aim is to keep this bathroom clean your aim will help" type thing 3) a welcome door sign........... WELCOLME TO THE ____________ HOUSE all the signs could some how be conected in someway with a theme (bunnies, all green, disney charictor etc.....) ~~~~~OR~~~~~ find a nice first year christmas ornament............. they are out on shelves already!!!

We had some friends a few years ago that was given a large picture of the two of them together. All their friends signed it at the reception.

I always get a really nice picture frame. I try to pick one out that I know a wedding picture would be beautiful in. Hobby Lobby always has great sales on their frames and if they don't they always have a coupon for 50% off of one item either in their paper or online.
We usually buy a nice photo frame and I try to make a fabric covered picture album to match their colors so they have a nice album to put their pictures in. Also if they would like to have some fun pictures of the reception buy some disposable cameras and leave a note by them for people to pick up and take a picture or two. Then collect the cameras and get them developed and give the couple the pictures. We had some fun pics from our reception that the photographer would have never caught!
If you have know them for a long time maybe a photo album with a through the years theme. Gather many pics of them from when they first met up until now.
I know that you are in WI but for some reason I thought that you were near Green Bay. I know that their is a Hobby Lobby in Green Bay and one in Appleton. I've been to both.
Oh a little farther south, lol. If I ever get down that way I'll have to send you a pm and maybe we could meet for lunch. You are 4 hours from me. We've been through Milwaukee alot. I hope that you find that special gift.
