Anyone do this and homeschool? Even DH was talking about taking small trips around for a few days etc. Kinda "have the RV ready to go" and we'll head out whenever Gotta like living here sometimes (less than 2 hours to Gettysburg, 45 minutes to DC, etc)
We don't but totally would if we could We would actually probably rent out our house and live on the road.
We did travel at school year times with kids but didn't really stay anywhere but where dh worked or family was in town.I would have loved to be a traveling home school family. The kids would have too
We just want to do short trips on occasion - it's rough with the farm .... but still we would like to be able to do it. I'd like to do it where we meet up with people with kids approx the age range of ours so they can hang out as well. We can't do weekends because of our schedule.... but after coming back last week I am so ready to go again
My kids are all younger, but you could come on a trip to Knoebles...lol They even have a physics course on their website... or they used to... about their rides..so it's totally a field trip.

lol... Tmom, I'm not sure that's a day trip from our part of the country. Maybe Tmom needs to come to the eeeeeaaaassssstttttt cccccooooaaaaassssstttttt you want to see where the first English landed and visit the Smithsonian and the Liberty Bell and tour Salem and learn about the Witch Trials lol
yeah - we have Washington DC here too Gettysburg is up the road... but I SOOO want to go out west It's in the plans.... my husband said "we can go to Texas and study the Alamo".... and I THINK that's the extent of history he retained, the name only - not what the event was - LOL... I would SO need to downsize. How would you handle books though? Seriously - my kids all have kindles and kindle fires but no one is happy reading on them - they prefer real books. (which is another reason why we will probably homeschool Alexis through HS - they are going to try and have her class be the first all digital class in our county - gotta love being guinea pigs!)
lol actually I was supposed to go to Detroit then up to Ontario in June.. but I got two weddings one day apart in two dif countries.. now i COULD do this.. if I get my pass port done. I have never been to my friends Canadian home and really want to go! that wil be te farthest east i will be
