I am divorced from DS(10)'s dad. Long story short, DS is completely bored and wants to homeschool along with his brother. Like, now. On Friday night we sad down with ex-h and laid out the facts, addressed concerns, and tried to get the yes. I left him with links for info and told him to think about it this weekend. I didn't want to have to force his hand, but knew that I was going to because DS is not doing well at school anymore. It's really what's best for him. Ex-H didn't spend any time thinking about it and still decided no. DS was devastated, but wanted me to tell him that we're doing it anyway. I did, very nicely. As expected, he was mad. He started cussing at me (this was all via text, so as not to lose MY cool, he brings out the worst in me thus the divorce) and calling me unspeakable things. I kept my cool, told him that I gave him the opportunity to make an informed choice, and he didn't take advantage. I'll always do what's best for my children and this is it. I'm well within my rights according to my divorce decree, so he doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Anyway, please pray that he realizes he's wrong (he's not a Christian) and that I'm doing what I believe is right. Give me and DS strength to stand up for what we believe in, and pray for peace for DS because this won't be easy for him. His daddy is his hero, so disagreeing with him is so difficult.

I didn't want it to be this way. I'm disappointed. :(

:( I'm so sorry. I was praying when you were posting about this earlier. God can change his heart. I will pray, and continue too. For you, for your son, and for your Ex Husband. (((HUGS)))

Praying for an outcome that you know only the Lord can bring about.
