YAY!! We get a day off the normal school schedule tomorrow. We get to go to the Apple Orchard with the homeschool group. Pink Lady apples are ready to be picked and they are our FAVORITES!!!!YUM YUM!! I'm thinking Caramel apples! MMMM
We had a Blast! They did a presentation for the kiddos about bees and honey and then the man talked about the differant bugs that are in the orchards. And then the kids got to release lady bugs!! They LOVED it! We picked about 10 lbs of apples and bought some of their raw honey. It's very differant from the store bought honey. Now I just need to figure out what to do with ALL these apples. It's not a whole lot but it is more than we are used to. All I have come up with so far is Caramel Apples. These are pink lady apples so I don't know if they are good for making apple pie or apple crisp. We may try it anyhow.
