What are you cleaning today?

I'm making the bathrooms sparkle. That's my goal anyway! Upstairs is 3/4 done already and it's lunch time. Once they are sparkly, I"m going to the range to shoot my new gun. or that's the plan for reward anyway.

What are you accomplishing today? Do you have to reward yourself or is a clean house reward enough?

 

Today I am cleaning the bathroom. For the most part, everything else is done.

I usually do not reward myself. It feels good to have the house clean. I guess that is reward enough.

 

well I just got in from outside mowing the front lawn and weeding it by hand. Yes by hand. As many of you know dh broke his back and can't do it. I can't get the weeder to work so I do it by hand. Most of it's weeds but the front does look alot better.
I am so hot now I think I will go jump in the pool and clean that. Why not.
It's only 108 out today with heat index cooling down some. YEAAAAAAAAAAAA.

 

I vacuumed and mopped the floors today. I guess my reward for doing that is the 2.5 hours class for my daycare food program hours that is tonight.blah!

 

I've done nothing, and I plan on continuing that trend all day. lol

Is this a sign I should be working?!

 

I am not in the mood to clean.

 

I've started one load of laundry, harvested and washed veggies from the garden so far today. I also did the usual...fed the kids breakfast and lunch. I dropped them off and picked them up from VBS too. In a little while we have eye doctor appointments, so probably won't get too many chores done today.

 

My list is long.

Finishing deep cleaning the boys room (need to finish dusting, wiping walls, vacuum and shampoo carpet)
Deep clean the bathroom (half way done)
Laundry (just started)
mow the yard
finish cleaning out the garage (almost done)
go to the dump

 

I have been cleaning my entire house so everything is perfect so I can sit on my fanny for the next week recovering from surgery.

Going to target practice sounds like fun!

 

I did two loads of laundry today. I'm just taking it easy today. I do need to get off the computer though!

 

Today, it will just be the typical washing the dishes and "cleaning out" the garden of any ripe produce.

We're headed to the Art Institute in Chicago for the day, so I won't be getting much else done! A reward in itself!

I think I'll be tackling the computer room. It's sort of turning into my office/2nd classroom (I can't believe I'm setting up schoolrooms!) and it's a mess right now.

 

Ohh - I want to go to the art institute! *jealous*

I am not really "cleaning" per se - but I am painting my upstairs bath, and that always involves a measure of cleaning! Then we are going to a pool play date with a friend!

 

NO, IT IS NOT!!! Come visit me, and we can both do NOTHING all day long! My Rachael will keep your little ones out of trouble, and you and I can sit and watch chick-flick and eat bon-bons!!! Who else wants to join us?

Back to reality....Today I have to drop kids off at VBS, run some errands, possibly stop at a couple rummage sales and come home to do the dishes that are starting to stink up the sink. Then, I have to go get the kids from VBS and feed them lunch.

 

We are at the end of our day now ( kids are showering, then off to bed- can you hear the excitement in my voice?:lol

We managed a swim this morning, then home for lunch, a nap for the LO, then school.

DH home tomorrow, so fresh linen on the bed, floors vacuumed and mopped, and just a quick, general tidy up.

My reward - a cuppa and chocolate in peace and quiet very shortly ( which I would have had, even if I did nothing today)

 

I didn't tackle the computer room yet but the kitchen is sparkling!

 

Jackie I think I will join you! As for me, I have spent WAY to much time on the computer today, so not much has gotten done yet. Today is my day off (sorta) because I have to go running and then take the kids to swim lessons. By the time that is all done, it will be dinner time, and then the kids will pick up their messes and then bedtime. Maybe I will actually get to bed before 1am tonight! That would be a reward for me!

 

Hmmm....today I would like to accomplish somethings while my kids are at Bible school. I would like to fold three or four baskets of laundry that I have sitting here besides starting some new loads.
I didn't get my chores done yesterday.
Yesterday didn't turn out at all like I had planned because my sister and her two year old leached onto me the entire morning. By afternoon we had all the kids with us and my sister stayed at my house past her welcome (past 7:45 pm). It was not a fun evening. I'm also fighting off a cold, so that doesn't help any.

 

I have a split level house, 3 levels. yesterday's goal was all 3 levels, picked up and vacuumed. HA! right... anyway, the upstairs (bedrooms) got done but then we did some school stuff (craft junk) and then a friend called to go to the pool, and since pool season is almost over I couldn't say no...so ....

today is main level and bottom level. Main level is playroom and kitchen. I just finished playroom (could get out the carpet cleaner if I wanted to be super duper) and the kitchen will be do-able, and it's only 8:30!! I plopped the kids downstairs in front of Letter Factory and that let me get the playroom done, and now they are busy in the nice, clean playroom, with the TV off! love it!

So, I guess maybe I should get to work, but they are so busy that I think I'll scrapbook...oh well....
