I was at a used bookstore this week and found a SoS box with a CD and reference book for Texas state history. It was only about $5, I think, so I bought it. Is there anything I need to do to be able to use this? Do I have to join SoS or buy software or anything like that? (Just curious if I need to return it to the store while my receipt is still good... I don't plan to use this for a couple of years.)

No, you just put the cd in your computer and up will come the lessons. I believe SOS has one for each state.

You may need a "master disc" sort of a thing. If you were to order an entire set, there would be one in it. These are updated every so often, I think, and each one can be loaded a specific number of times. I've never used SOS so I'm not sure. But you can call SOS and ask.

It isn't legal to sell SOS materials. Am not sure exactly how that works, but it's difficult.

But you are allowed to "gift" it once.

Oh well... I guess I'll just see if it works when we get ready to use it?? :)
