A good old fashion typing book will work great for improving her typing. My children learned to type using books 25+ years old. Also, lots and lots of typing helps.

We have used the CD-Rom programs "Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing" and "Typing Instructor"
You can find "Typing Instructor" at the christianbook website

My girls are doing great with Read, Write, and Type by Talking Fingers. I like it because it teaches phonics while teaching typing. Love anything that takes care of two skills at once.

I'm using a very old version of Mavis Beacon right now - I think it may be v3? It still works, so why buy new just because it's new?

you could always try teh quick brown fox jumped over the lazy grey dog..
In school we had to type that over and over, now I have typos but its not my typing problem its my brain that types it backwards hahah, but seriously. I type faster than the average person now!
I would have failed typing but the teacher cheated to make me get my 25 words required!
    My kids like Mario typing

You could try the BBC Dance Mat free online typing program: http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/typing/

It does exactly what I had to do when I was in high school and learning to type---- you use the home keys and practice adding in the surrounding keys. It's just a more entertaining way of doing it.

This is my thought as well.
A book that shows hand placement and has drills is great but accuracy and speed come with practice. We use a book that was used to train H&R Block employees. It is old and a clumsy book but it works and since most of Em's learning to type comes from typing or keyboarding, I am satified.

Now designing a web page is something else. I wouldn't even know where to start! LOL :D
If it goes beyond typing, emailing, or the basics, I am lost!

Patty, its not as difficult as it was ten years ago, my ds 12 has made a web page before of his own and I have no doubt that he could create and set up one. Things just keep getting easier!
Its hard enough for me to keep my blog up! haha
dh takes care of it for me now

My kids use Mavis Beacon, I've even used it on occasion. There's also a game app for typing on facebook that you can use as well. They have fun playing the games and don't mind it and they get credit for it.
