When I teach children, I always tell them that the Bible stands for Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. They remember that and when I ask the the next time, they repeat it back to me. A retired pastor told me that a few years back. He also teaches children and part of Child Evangelism Fellowship (I also work with the organ.) We teach in churches, public schools, fairs, homes, etc. That is the reason we tell children - so they can get into the Word and know how they are suppose to act.
I just realized you said you go into churches, public schools, fairs, homes, etc. How do you get invited? When I was in public school, we had "religious emphasis week" once a year when a speaker (evangelist?) would hold all-school assembly sessions once a day as well as optional individual counselling sessions. I am guessing things like that are rare now. Do you go to county & state fairs? I used to help lead a children's Bible club after school, called "Joy Club." The teachers would remind students in their classrooms each Wednesday to be sure to attend! God bless you in your work!
I am involved with Child Evangelism Fellowship. We are a worldwide organization headquartered in Warrenton, Missouri. The Supreme Court made a ruling that if there was ANY after school activities were being held in the school that CEF could also be there. We are in many schools across the nation. As far as the fairs, most of them are county fairs. Not sure if they are in our State Fair or not. We also go into day cares and YMCA's. We do need more teachers to help, that seems to be the problem. They have clubs in the schools in sourthern Indiana that run on an average of 115 kids. I could go on and on, but if you want more info. check out their website. It is cefonline.com. There is probably one in your area and if you are interested the web site should direct you to the right person. Thanks for asking. It is a real blessing to see children come to know Jesus as their Personal Saviour.
