What is the most courageous thing you've ever done?

I can think of a couple, and they both involve my son's father.

1. Taking back my "yes" to his proposal, because I knew marriage to him would be a disaster.

2. Leaving the house under the pretense of getting his cigarettes out of the car after a fight and his threats, only to go next door and call the police.
