We just finished our year. We start our new year 1 week from tomorrow. We are choosing to do a lighter summer curriculum as I have been having a very hard time choosing curriculum (they all seem expensive....) and this year I'll have 3 hsing (instead of 2) and new baby adds to the "fall" stress. Our summer surriculum is focusing on things the boys have major issues with: handwriting/penmanship (I don't mind if they become doctors - I just don't want them to write like doctors), something they need to do personally: religion/bible study and something for fun: reading for the library's summer fun thing. Plus normal "outings":cubscouts, cubscout camp in July, once a month trip to a museum (most are far), the local zoo, swimming, picnics - the usul summer whatnot.....
