My daughter starts ballet on Thursday. I went to target to buy her a new leotard and was shocked that they were 16.99. I bought her one bc I didn't know where else to get one quick. Anyone know somewhere online I can find them reasonable?

I'm about to order a bunch from dancewearsolutions.com for dd. I think they're about $11.50 each for child size and $13 for adult. I'm getting tights there too.

That is actually a pretty good price. At least around here it is.

I get them cheaper than that at a dance store- watch for sales. Also, the cheaper brands (Target/Walmart) are usually higher cut across the bottom, which leads to lots of tugging during class.

Try some children's resale shops, goodwill, and the like. You can get them for $3 or so which is cheaper than Walmart.

I would say that is reasonable, though I have never liked the way cheaper leos fit. My daughter was a competitive gymnast for a while and some leo's went for $40 or $50 each. I ended up looking on ebay and got a couple of used ones and we were happy with what we got. A lot of people sale their's once their child has quit.

If you have a Once Upon a Child store (resale shop), check there. They always have leo's especially the brand names. Kids grow out of them and they are usually in very good to excellent condition. Maybe $8 or so.

When my girls did gymnastics, their gym would sell used ones that they got from students who had outgrown them/quit. They were always in really great shape and would only sell for $5-10. If there is a gym near you, you might want to check there.

well they are not so expensive, but remember 1 thing if you buy a cheap one then it's quality would also be cheap, tell me the age of your daughter may be i could help you in finding cheap and good quality leotard but 16.99 is also a very reasonable price

DavidJohn, it's nice to have you here, but this thread died a natural death FOUR years ago....
