I have been stalking (yes stalking) several Yahoo groups and Ebay looking for curriculum. Is there any other good places out there? Just curious where you all look/purchase from. TIA
Amazon.com (used) and half.com I have heard some who like vegsource, but I've never personally used it. Best wishes.
We have a homeschool store in a neighboring city that carries used things. I've gotten several things from them. They have a website and ship. www.mooreexpressions.com. They are a homeschooling family and the owner/mom is on the board of the Home Educator's Assoc of Virginia........she's extremely knowledgable about stuff. If you want something and you don't see it online, call sometimes they have it and it just isn't in the system yet because they are constantly buying things from other homeschoolers, publishers and Christian/private schools.
The Well-Trained Mind forums have excellent sales boards. They have a minimum post requirement now for people to sell on it, but it moves quickly and there is a lot available. The downside is that there is no reliable means of feedback, though you can check a poster's past posts to see if they have negative feedback on a past ad and that sort of thing. Of course, this is also the case here. Actually, a lot of what I've gotten has been from here. Just post what you need! Maybe someone will have it.
Yard sales and thrift stores for odd books and workbooks but two Canadian Yahoo groups for the bigger stuff. I love the Yahoo groups.
Thank you, everyone! I still havent' found what I am looking for, but I am now in Curriculum Stalker Heaven!
If you're a member of HSLDA, they have a used curriculum auction thing, too. http://market.hslda.org/auction/xcAuction.asp
