I have a kenmore front loader(s) and I like it fine. I use much less soap. The clothes seem just as clean and...here is the kicker... I can do the entire weeks laundry (for 4 of us) and sheets in 5 loads. ba da boom!
of course, you still have to fold it. sigh.
(and I didn't get the biggest one)
It does tend to tangle, so there is a bit of shaking out going from washer to dryer.
I will eventually get the drawers on the bottom, cuz I am getting tooooooo old to bend down. But I might just have dh make a platform. (I can't pay what they charge for a plastic drawer!)
We have had them for 2 years. No issues yet.
    the washer I replaced was a maytag...that I bought in 1986.

That's what I was going to do but now I think that I am leaning towards buying a bosch. You can get a front loader and dryer at lowes for $718 a piece. Bosch has such a good reputation. I went online and checked on the kenmores and their really wasn't much good to say about them. I think that I am going to try to stay away from kenmore and fridgedaire. Even the salesperson at lowes said the same and they sell them. As of now I am still hanging in the basement. I did hang them outside all summer so it's not alot different.

I have not had any experience with Boche but I have had kenmores for ... 15 years, only problems we had were easy enough for dh to fix himself. You will have to let us know how th Boche works! I would love to know, someday I will need to replace mine and since I tend to go with price over product, if Boche had a better price I would have to choose to go with that.

We have a Kenmore washer and dryer. The dryer has been great but the washer has been a pain. There is a plastic piece that keeps breaking. We replaced it a few times and it breaks a few months later. So now we have a spoon jammed where the plastic piece used to go and it works great. The only problem is we can't close the lid of the washer because the spoon is in the way. LOL

For some reason, our washer can't decide when to stop the water from filling up. Sometimes it fills without a problem and other times I walk into a flooded garage. So I have to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't overfill. But, it does wash pretty good. It is just the mechanisms that keep messing up.

I have a whirlpool duet thing and like it a lot. Right now they are stacked - but can't wait until we build out the laundry room and I can have a "folding station" on top (our friend who will help with the rebuilding says his wife LOVES have that area)....

I bought ours from Lowes or Best buy... can't remember. I bought it 3 1/2 years ago - the day after we moved in here because we couldn't use the washer and dryer that were here (30 year old units that could bearly fit 3 pairs of jeans in them - on a FARM?!?!)....

LG make an awesome unit - special order though - changes from a washer to a dryer - 1 unit :) I think you can find it on their website and order it through Best Buy or something. A HS'ing mother of 8 I know has 2 and she loves them because she doesn't have to worry about changing it over.

I was thinking of getting one for my room - silly I know.... but we have a "mini-bar" area which is pretty worthless to me.... but not having to carry LAUNDRY across the house (large ranch style house) now that would be nice :)

I took the plunge! I bought a bosch set from sears. They price matched lowes, gave me 10% of the difference and I got no payments & 0% interest for one year. I also bought the 3 year warranty. It cost $199 but if after 11 months I think that I don't need it I can cancel it and get my money back. I told my dh I'm not doing anymore laundry until Saturday - that's when it is suppose to come in. Oh and if it goes on sale cheaper than what I paid in the next 30 days they will give me the difference. I can't wait to get it. I got the more expensive one because of the price difference I could get that at what I thought that I would pay for the cheaper one!
