    book ideas

If you are looking at getting Junie B or Magic tree house (I own about ALL of them -- yikes!) I suggest going to scholastic.com and getting on their mailing list for their monthly book list - -they are grade appropriate and the books are often much cheaper than one can buy in the store. Plus, if you spend more than $20 on one order, you get bonus stuff. That is how I got all my magic tree house books. Right now we get Arrow (grades 4-5) and Lucky (2-3). If you order for september from either, you get another $25 bucks in free books, plus free books every month for the rest of the year, plus bonus points you can use to buy books later! (usually by march I have enough bonus points to get all the books I want without spending a dime). Plus there is no shipping and you get the books really quick.

    Good luck and happy reading!

Thanks for the tip. I think I'm in the best town ever the used bookstore here has most of them on any given day and I pay between 5 cents and $1 for books. (I saw Saxon Math there for 25 cents once!) Without store credit it would have been $2.50. It was in good condition too. But I'll check scholastic for things that are really popular. there are certian things that never appear that the used bookstore because people either like it so much they never get rid of it or else they are all waiting for it hanging around the store and fighting over the last copy. LOL
