I am making a Reading Journey for the kids for their summer reading....as they get thru their books, along with the library's special whatnot (which may I say, is not so special this year!) and B&N's passport (also kinda lame but whatever) they will go along this "journey". Think timeline-but like a rocket traveling from the sun to Pluto (yes, I included pluto.) They each have a rocket.... My connundrum is I was gonna put it on a long strip of paper like a wallpaper border-but not sure how to do that...so got the planets, and the rockets....originally was going to have little dots for each book, in between the planets-but if its straight on the wall, I don't know how to put the little dots (or even what to use as markers/dots between the planets)....and am worried about killing the paint in the process. Any creative thoughts on how I can do it? (and I totally spelled felt wrong on my last thread....how funny.)
I think I understand what you are doing. You could use that 3M sticky tape stuff that comes off without leaving any residue and then for the "markers" just use a circle cut out. It would even be cool if you could find some space themed paper in the scrapbooking section of your store.
For dots I think I would use something like these http://www.officedepot.com/a/produc...RS__D52wBRJ3jn_lk:13ddq0t8b?cm_cat=2000000010 Since they are suposed to be removable I think they should come of without any problems to the paint. I use http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/584296/Scotch-Adhesive-Putty-2-Oz/ to put up psters and stuff and haven't noticed any problems with the paint, but we do have semi gloss in the classroom.
Thanks! Was considering getting a roll of bulletin board cork and putting that up-then just using those tiny push pins....eh. Gonna be a "thing" I think..... Our paint is horrible-they just threw it up before we moved in, and all the walls have this weird texture....and I can't even clean it and it starts to flake off. Hmmmm....
