are you getting back to the grind today? I need another week to get lesson plans done! I have not done a thing ... oh boy... I need to get with it!
Emily starts back to public school on Wed. If we were still homeschooling we would start then too. Bobby and Jennifer leave tomorrow afternoon so there is no way I would get any school work done with them packing to leave. I miss the first day back excitement.
We did school this morning (everything but science, because I wasn't ready!) Feeling proud of myself, since hubby is still off of work today.
It's game on for us today. Full speed ahead, complete with a few minor tweaks (I learned a few things during the first half of the year).

We had a meeting at work today, so we're starting tomorrow. We'll probably only do Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday since DH is off Friday (first day off in three weeks!).
I wanted to wait until Weds to start because we have co-op that day and it would have given me two days to schedule, plan, get co-op ready, etc. But my two older kids actually BEGGED to get back in the grind! LOL SICK!!!!
I WISH we were!!! But Carl is off until Wednesday. Rachael's college classes start tomorrow, and she's fussing about having to go when the other two are off, lol!
Krista, your kids are SICK! LOL... jk.... I have to process a 2 deer today, so tomorrow will be planning day... or this evening depending on how sick I feel after smelling all this deer meat today! My hubby has shot 7 deer so far......... I am already sick of deer meat...
SEVEN deer? Wow! It's good healthy meat because it's not so fat, and it tastes good, and you can do SO much with it! Jerky, sausage (add some pork fat), roasts, steaks, stews... We start back tomorrow.
I just finished them! I love deer meat, its just the processing that I get tired of. I kinda start to feel sick after smelling the raw meat after a few hours. We have had many people request some meat, so these two are finally ours! I am not sharing anymore!!! Linda, He works on a ranch that have management kills so that means He can shoot as many as he wants until the number of Mang. Kills are meet. I am going to stock pile my freezer!
We love deer meat too! My husband and sons have only gotten two this year so far. We had 400 deer tamales made, 80 deer burritos, made deer/wild hog ground meat, and gave some deer roasts to family members. I was telling my husband this morning that they need to kill another deer. The kids and their friends have been eating the burittos like crazy!!! We start back on Wednesday. My youngest son is complaing that my oldest son doesn't have to go back to college until Jan. 18th.
We started back today too. I thought it was going to be a huge fiasco, but after some initial grumbling, things went pretty smooth. They won't admit it, but I think they are happier when we're in our groove. I know I am. *I* was the one who had trouble getting going!
