One thing I found out we can make in south Texas is Wind man oh man this wind the last few days are bad, We have had semi trucks blow over while driving down the road. We can't make rain, grow gardens but we sure can make wind. We woke up this morning to everything blown over again thought a hurricane came through. The winds are up to 50mph right now. Want some? we really I mean really need rain we are 16 inches under right now.
Sorry to hear the winds are so bad there... I'd love to send you some of our rain. I'm tired of it! Although, I don't want your wind in exchange.
I sympathize with you on the winds! we get a lot of wind here, gusts of 75 mph happen often during the winter and spring. I hope you all get some rain soon.
We get incredible wind around here! The wind will get so bad that they will close down the highway due to 0 visibility, the wind picks up the dirt and sand and keeps it a dust bowl in the air. That is how the Great Sand Dunes National Park was made, wind!
Katie, thats a good way to look at it we are making Sand Dunes, theres alot of sand going all over the places.
No thank you!!! Winds are a normal part of this area. Today is lovely but the past month our winds have blown and gusted from 50 to 75 miles an hour. We had three days of sand storms with no visibility. So go ahead and keep your wind my friend. Don't even think of sending it this way! LOL
darn it Patty, I love sharing it with my homeschool buddies and I knew you would enjoy it the most. I will get a special package out soon. Love you girl.
Just for that, I am going to load up a box with a years worth of high winds and ship it to you! Take that, Ms. Slick!!!!!
Kris you can come up here to the U.P. with me. You know that we don't get much for wind and it is always pretty here. We get the four seasons - snow, snow, snow and snow --woops I meant winter, spring, summer and fall.
Lee, you know dh and I were talking the other day if jobs weren't so hard right now we would move where they had season, instead of no rain, sand storms and wind.
