I am going to use Winston Grammar Basic level this next year (6th). I see it is only 30 lessons, though, so that won't even cover half a year if we do it only 2x a week. Is there another complimentary program that would fit well with that? I thought about the WG Advanced, but the site recommend waiting until 8th grade for that.

Also, I am still unsure about a writing program. We have been using Ignite Your Writing the last month or so and like it alright, but I am not really sold on it.
Any recommendations for a beginning writer who needs things really laid out for him? I have looked at Jump In, but I can't remember if it teaches book reports and the like, too.

    TIA!

I'm not much help about the writing part (I'm still trying to figure that all out myself)...but as far as Winston, get the Supplemental Workbook so you have double the amount of sentences.
