Read the article and I think they ought to take off a weekday instead of a Saturday since most are off on Saturdays. If they do cut Saturdays extend the hours to past 1600-1700 so those working have a chance to go to the post office. Ours is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Mondays is box pick up only. They are half days on Saturdays. I checked the list of some of the small towns I have lived in and they are not on the list.
So far we aren't either. Rumor has it our plant will be getting some of the others mail to process. Fingers crossed.
As I read this all I can think is the job losses because of it. In a desparate state of economical times what does that mean for those who will lose their jobs... sad
