Folks, I have proud news. Jeannie brought home her 1st qtr progress report today. Everything I ever tried to do as a homeschool teacher was rewarded when I opened this thing up. She got one A+, two A's, and two B+. 'Outstanding' behavior and effort; 'Cooperative', 'Focused', 'A pleasure to have in class'. So...it appears I really was doing a good job those 6 years. I'm not honestly bragging here, I'm honestly hugely relieved that I gave her a solid enough foundation to do so well in this school.
WHY are you surprised?!? How long have we been telling you that you've done an exceptional job with that young lady? Yes, she's a smart kid, so that DOES have something to do with it, but YOU have worked long and hard teaching her these past six years! Now maybe you'll believe that we knew what we were talking about!!! (SUPER JOB, MOMMA!!! Take your bows!!!)
Lol- I won't bow, cause I fear you'll come up behind me and give me a swift kick for not believing in myself!
WoooooHooooo! What a great example she is for homeschooling families! Brag away. You did a great job!
I was cautiously hopeful as I saw quizzes and tests come home. I saw real effort in her homework, too, so I knew she was really trying. I had emailed her Math and English teachers that first week, to let them know my concerns for her in those areas. They were very supportive and thanked me for the heads up. Lol- I grab a teaching fix by helping with the homework.
Wonderful! We are going through the same thing this year with our Emily and so far so good. She gets her first report card soon.
Yes, Becky brag away. I just did about my daughter going to college and doing well. It shows those people that we did a wonderful job no matter what they thought of it.
