So, I ordered a workbook that was listed on Amazon as "used-good" in the rating system and said good clean copy. Yep, it's clean all right, the first 21 pages are missing... they must not have been clean. I could deal with this, no biggie, they are just review of things we know anyway (but I wanted her to do them...grrrrr). The last almost 50 pages are also missing... those pages are the answer key! Yes this is an elem book, I could most likely figure out the answers and I usually do, but sometimes I'm just not sure, ya know? Sometimes I just don't have time to read the entire page and need that answer key.

The catch? Well, the books is no longer in print, I didn't pay a ton for this book... $2.00 plus $3.99 shipping, but if I knew I wasn't getting a 100% there book I would have risked the .85c copy that had almost the exact same wording but was listed as acceptable.

What do I do? Return it? Suck it up? Buy another copy for a buck plus shipping and hope to get the whole thing pulled together? I plan on using this with all the kids (it's one of those back to my happy days roots kinda book).

I would probably leave the seller a bad review & buy another copy. What work book is it?

I'd ask for a refund and leave a bad review if a solution wasn't offered. If you love it, I'd suck it up and buy another copy.

I think I'm gonna keep it, I need to get to work with Ry in it. I'm going to leave feedback which I see several other recent ones with similar complaints. I'll order another one and hope for the best.

My kids did tons of workbooks when they were younger & I still have the answer keys for most of them. I looked through them but didn't find the answer key you need. I'm sorry I couldn't help you! :(

I would try to contact them first. It's hard to believe...but it's possible they didn't realize ( ). The thing is...if you contact them and tell them about all those missing pages, perhaps they'll refund your money and tell you to just keep the book (in fear of you leaving negative feedback). Something similar happened to me, and they were so apologetic and refunded me, and told me to just keep it or toss it.

I had the same problem once and the seller was completely apologetic and refunded my money and let me keep the book. It wasn't usable in the condition it was in so I just ordered another one. Contact the seller before you leave a bad review.

I'll contact them and let them know I'm not happy but have to "make it work" because I don't have time to wait another 2 weeks for a new one to arrive.

Yeah I may end up relying on it more than I should for a preview. I looked over the first pages to make sure there was nothing I should cover lol

I ordered another copy but haven't left feedback yet. Not sure how to be tactful about it without being snippy.

New workbook came yesterday, it is complete, a few (maybe 10) pages are done in pencil... now this I can live with.

Leave them a one star feedback if you are going to keep it.

I was an Amazon.com bookseller for years. You can feel those missing pages, unless you are very inexperienced. Meaning that it is remotely possible that someone only flipped the book looking for dirt and marks and did not notice the missing pages. The negative feed back will teach them what to look for in the future so they don't rip another person off and waste their time. Its really more about the time than money.

The sellers worry about feed back, especially the new ones who only have a few reviews. Make it sting. LOL
