Ok, so we have tons of stuff to get rid of.. all of our girl clothes, the 0-3m boy clothes.. even some bigger boy clothes because we just have too much, all of our gender neutral things.. some of our baby furniture (bouncy seat, double stroller, 2 high chairs..one is even new yet!) etc. Along with tons of household things we just don't need!

I need some pricing help on the clothes... here are my thoughts.. just general pricing instead of individual outfits/pieces... so how does this sound?

    socks/tights .10
    bibs .25
    onsies .25
shirts (includes "fancy" onsies ie old navy, gap & long sleeve) .50
    shorts .50
    pants .50
    sleepers 1.00
    one piece outfits 1.00
    two piece outfits 2.00

Those are good "Want to get rid of stuff" prices! You could go a little higher if you want, and things would probably still go well.

Totally depends on where you are - in my experience, clothes don't go well at garage sales. But, I've not tried a sale in this economy yet! LOL

Last time I did a garage sale with clothes, we had "fill a plastic bag a buck" on the clothes... and the crappy McDonalds toys in lunch bags marked for girls, boys, or either - mystery toy bags for a buck. They sold like that, often to moms who were just trying to keep the kiddo occupied so she could look. ;)

Anyway. I need to do this again soon, too! Good luck with yours!

I think your prices are very good. You could go higher but the prices you have listed will probably help you sell it all. When we have had yard sales children's and baby clothes sold well but adult clothes didn't. I hope you have great weather and do great. Beth

Children's clothes go very well around here; adult clothes are another story.

Your prices are perfect for getting rid of things.

We have church yard sales at my house because I live on a busy street. When we are about to close up, if we have a lot of leftover clothes, we allow people to grab a bag and fill it up for certain price.

We definately just want to unload it. The longer it sits here, the more likely I will be to be upset that there will be no more babies in my house... and really it is taking up so much space!!!

Hmm.... So if it sits in your house too long, we could always send you some of that special water.....

WAAAAA that special water won't work.. I got my tubes tied, and hubby goes next month to get snipped. He said we are done, and really 4 c-sections is enough for me.. so it was time. But I sooo love the baby stage!!! (I am not fond of the 10yo stage though.. which is another reason for the perminate measures!)

I can drink all the water I want around here, too! Sigh.... But the neighbor across the street has a 3MO, so I go over there whenever I need my "fix"!

I spend way too much time snuggling the little guy.. and hubby is starting to get flustered with me.. I keep reminding him he's the last one I get.. I am going to get the most out of him.

Sommer, the prices sound great to me alittle cheap but I am sure they will move.
You could raise them alittle and I am sure they will sell... Good luck

So how did it go? The boy down the road got a nice basketball hoop for $5 (!!!) at a garage sale. He and his dad had to assemble it, but it's up now, and he's VERY proud! He told me he BEGGED AND BEGGED his dad for it. I said for $5, "you could have bought it yourself." He got a BIG grin and replied, "I did!!!"

We are doing it next weekend.. The 26th. I'm trying to get others up here on the hill to have sales.. I figure if I can put an ad in the paper stating that it's a "road wide" yard sale we may bring in more people. So far I can list it as a multi family moving and yard sale. My inlaws are putting their new house in in about 2 months so they are prepping to move!

Sommer, if I was closer or had something to go to up that way, I'd stop by!

Your prices sound great! Nothing drives me crazy than to see prices set too high at yard sales. And not having prices set at all is another pet peeve.
I was at a yard sale yesterday and there were no prices on anything and everything was filthy. Needless to say they didn't get any of my money.
If I lived by you I would so have a yard sale too. Good Luck!!

I'd knock the bibs down to $.10.... We do yardsales just about every weekend...(cleaning out the house for our trip) So far this year we've done three yardsales and grossed over $1k! Also if they have alot of things in their hands just give them a "discount" price they will love it, the stuff will be gone, and most of all they might go back for more....JMO
