My dd finally completed her first science fair project. She started off with great intentions and then decided she didn't care for her topic. Well she stuck to it and it was great. She ended so enthusiastic that she was saying so many other ways that she could have experimented and researched further and is looking forward to next years project. I'm so happy she ended on a positive note. Next weekend she is inviting some friends over to show them her presentation. Wow, I love homeschooling! Her topice was rust - what can rust, what makes it rust and how can it be prevented. Has anyone else been working on any? I would love to hear.
Cool! how fun. We haven't done an actual science fair project for a long time. We do different experiments now that then, but othing formal. Gals you had so much fun! And good for your kids to stick it out and finish what they started!
That sounds great, Lee! I'm glad she stuck with it and completed it! We did experiments last year of that type. This year we have only done the ones from the books they're doing. They're fun, but not as broad as the science fair projects. Keep up the good work! Hey, if you can, you should video her presentation to her friends! Those make for good and fun memories later on!
Good idea Deena! I didn't even think of video taping. We took alot of pictures to put in a portfolio. Grandma & PaPa are far away and I bet that they would love it if I sent a video of it. Thanks!
It sounds like it went great! I am so glad she enjoyed it. Here is a link to ours this year: http://www.homeschoolspot.com/showthread.php?t=4366
