Ok, both of these occured with my dd, who is 7.

Me: "R, what's the Mars Rover?"
R: "Something that wanders on the surface of Mars."
Me: (fishing for 'robot') "Yeah honey, but what's it made of?"
    R: "Technology?"

(all I could imagine here is that she thinks 'technology' is a special type of plastic  )

A bit later.. trying to teach her something and she was talking over me. I asked her to focus and then, thinking I'd catch her, I asked her to repeat back what I had just said. She did, word for word.

Me: "How could you possibly have heard me? You were talking!"
R: "I have two ears, Mama. One for listening to you, and one for listening to me!"

    I LOVE homeschooling!!

 I'm going to use the two ears quote!

If you haven't already, I'm sure you will start to hear compliments from complete strangers about your child's vocabulary and ability to articulate exactly what they mean to say. ;)

That's hilarious! And she probably said it like 'obviously, that's why we have two ears'!

    Cute!
