Alright...I am shopping for cirriculum for next year already here. I want to have some idea of what I will be spending and such...I am hoping that it will be easier than this year's searching all over for what I need and what I want (while is is a wonderful fit to my son, it is very time consuming and tiring at times), no doubt that i will be looking for enrichment material with a set cirriculum but this everyday thing can be exhausting with everything else that I am doing in a day (although definatly worth it if it were to be my only option, I am sure you all understand)...
Anyway, does anyone know how it works if you child is at differnet skill levels. Most of the programs offer discounts if you purchase the packaged cirriculum, and that is great, but my son reads at a much higher skill level then say his science skills...if he takes one of their placement tests can I still get the packaged cirriculum or do I then need to piece things togeather from their catalog? I was hoping that maybe someone here had the answer before I went calling all of the cirriculum companies...Are there any out there that would still offer me the special deal on a package cirriculum since I would still be buying all of the subjects?? Money is tight, as I am sure some of you know, so if someone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated! TIA

I don't think you will get a discounted amout for different grade levels mixed together but if that is what they need buy it. Don't make them try to do work way ahead of them.
You might want to think about buying a few subjects and do something else like Walmart/ Sams workbooks for something else. Or make up your study of history of something like that. Also Good will and Salvation Army stores around here have used homeschool books sometimes. Never a whole set but depending on the grade level.
    Good Luck.
