LOL!!! The BATHTUB when there's no one home but me, and there's bubbles in it and candles lit!!! (Right now my fav is the new shelf my dh put up for me in the kitchen.)
ok I took pics have to get back to my computer to upload them... on hubby's right now. I realized my favorite room is about to become my "breakfast room" because we are in the process of redoing it... and then my sewing machines will move in there... I can't wait for that.
This is most of the living room, I got all new frames for over the fire place and haven't filled thme so that is naked right now, to the right of the TV is my turtle's tank and to the right of the sofa I am behind is my rocking chair. Its a mess right now so ignore that, and the kids are watching Smurfs and playing while I kill time and fight with the printer that isn't working right... This is the breakfast room aka my new sewing room, it's not done, we are staining and cutting all the trim by hand.. it's a time consuming job lol I have a beautiful lamp that hangs in there, I took the glass off so we don't break it.
Well, to be honest, I HATE my house.. it's an old double wide that is falling apart at the seams... we are killing ourselves to make and keep it livable. We are here because it was MILs house and she built a new one and hubby didn't want the land we are on to be sold. I do love the location, and slowly we are getting it to what we would want.. we do have plans to put in a stairway to our basement (yes, we have a basement that we have to go outside to get to.. it's also more above ground than below because my FIL is an idiot and cant build a dang thing even though he claims to be able to) and building a kitchen, family room and dining room down there... but that isn't for a few years yet, and by then I worry we may need a whole new house on the top half, so I'm not holding my breath that it will ever happen. I just try to make the best of it, it's a roof over our heads.
As of right now, Rachael isn't planning on coming back home for anything more than a week or so. She's getting a place just off campus. So I'm seriously looking at turning her bedroom into my sewing room!!! But we really do need for her to be able to sleep there when she comes home.....
We have one in the basement, and it might end up back in Rachael's room. That room was originally our Library (hence the futon so visitors could stay there, specifically my good friend who taught overseas and would come home every other summer to visit her mother, but she couldn't STAND staying with Mom, lol!). The girls shared a room then, but eventually we decided we weren't using the library as we wanted, moved the futon to the basement, and split the girls up.
I will be able to post a pic later but the favorite part of my house is not inside my house it's my garden outside. We just planted so it's fun to watch things spring to life <3
By far, the pond out back! All the kids do is fish. My DS13 has epilepsy & therefore, not a whole lot of friends They think a seizing kid is funny. So the pond is his getaway & mine too. And on one side, it's all blueberry bushes. It's a pond we all have to share as part of the development. But most of the other adults around here are too caught up in their 'social' lives, to even notice it's there. So usually, it's just me and DS13.
We are finally looking at warm enough weather to get the dirt turned for our garden. We have a big tractor come in and do it for us... he will probably be up this weekend if he is turning others on the farm... but I'm not very good at growing things so the garden is far from my favorite place.. it's usually more of a headache for me Our garden is usually huge though.. mostly things to make spaghetti sauce and salsa to last all year and a few mellons and salad fixings. Between all the other family members on the farm land we seem to have more than we can eat if it can be grown in a garden. Love the pond, but with the littles I would have a heart attack. We have one on the far side of our other plot of land... it's about a 1/2-3/4 mile walk each way... I like it better there..lol
We're in Lorain County, about 40 minutes from Cleveland. I actually hate it I grew up in the country & now I can hand a cup of sugar to my neighbor through my kitchen window. I miss the quiet. However, there are several homeschool families in our development & over 200 kids. And my kids best friends since birth, live right next door. So, they truly don't need PS to 'socialize'. Actually, this is my driveway on any given day! Yeah....homeschooled kids are sooooo deprived of friends
LOL...just as I posted that, about 5 boys showed up to play basketball with my son. And it's hilarious because I'm sneaking a listen through an open window. They're chatting about who has a crush on who...LOL I now know who my sons crush is Shhhh...don't tell him! LOL
LOL! My husband and I are camp counselors at AWANA camp. Last year, the Middle School Girls' counselor said that after lights-out, the girls all talked about, "Who do you think Phillip likes?" What is it about my son, lol? We had our co-op Showcase Tuesday night. Afterwards, there's a frozen custard place that is run by Christians. They not only stayed open late for us, but gave 10% back to our yearbook. So we packed it out, and all I could think of in the very crowded building, listening to the kids talking and all was how UNSOCIAL they all were, lol!
