Last year I asked for your prayers for hubby and his back. He had 5 fractured vertebrea and since we have no insurance we went to whatever doctor would see us for little money. We were told he has osteoporosis. This is a 33 year old man!! Men in general DO NOT get osteoporosis and especially not a young man of this age.. So we were puzzled. We were referred to a specialist that cost $400 just to have the first consultation visit. We actually had to refinance our car to get the money and then the specialist sent everything back with no explaination and never would answer any of our calls. So nothing was ever done. He was given painpills and osteoporosis medicine from the original doctor and sent on his way. He delt with the excrutiating pain while still working(he's a mechanic). His boss made it as easy on him as he could by having shop hand help hubby pick up things and do some of the more straining work. His pain was so bad that I actually had to put hubby's shoes and socks on him in the mornings because he couldn't bend down to do it.. It was BAD.. We continued to pray for God to touch his body. And we were seeing improvements. We actually thought we were on the down side of this thing. But the last 2 months has been a reminder of what we went through last year. It's like we are starting all over again. This time it seems to be harder. Hubby is grumpy and on edge because he is in so much pain (no pain meds) and is getting severly depressed. I do all I can to help him but I can only do so much.. We need to find a doctor who will help us!!! We can't afford to spend a ton of money on medical bills and at the same time this can't continue to go on. I would appreciate it if you would pray for us to find the right doctor who can help him and while we are waiting for that to happen that God would intervene and ease some of his pain. This really takes a toll on a family... I'm in it for the long hall but sometimes I wish I could just run away and not have to deal with it anymore.

I'm so sorry, I pray that God will open the doors for the right doctor so your dh can get some healing and for him to be comforted in the mean time. Hang in there.

I'm broken-hearted over this. I'm praying for your husband and for guidance to know where to find a good doctor.

I would go to the office of the specialist and demand to see some information from his tests! I wouldn't call. I would just show up!

Angela, you know nothing is worst then when your love one hurts and you can't help them.
But, you know when he complains to you and the children its because he loves you and knows you all will be there to help in every way possible.
When he comes home make sure he is putting his feet up to rest, and put ice and heat on it. have you try a Chiropractor yet? They are little cheaper then doctors and seem to work better with you. I do hope you all find the right doctor to help you. Now when you make appointments to see doctors let them know you will be paying cash when you come in sometimes they will give you a break. Also, the day you go just before you leave home call the office and say I coming in but we are paying cash what kind of discount would you all offer me. I get sometime 100 right then and there off my bill. Just don't be afraid to ask.
