    Hey, my daughter started wearing braces last week. She refuses to eat food and says that she has got tooth pain. She has become very lean because of this. When I spoke to my dentist about this, he asked me not to give her crunchy and hard foods. I was searching on the internet for the diet pattern to be followed after having braces and came across a blog ( http://www.shorttermbraces.com/blog/teeth-braces/can-you-eat-with-short-term-braces-on/ ) which lists out the food to be avoided while wearing braces. The blog says that the following food must be avoided after having braces:
    * sugar and sticky food
    * dried fruit
    * chewy food and sweets
    * crunchy or hard food
    * stringy food
    Is there any other food that you would like to add to the list?

    Veggie juice can also be an option.

    But if your child is lactose intolerant, better stay away from milk.
