My wife and I homeschool in Gwangju, South Korea. We are from Colorado and have lived here for three and a half years. (We use Sonlight curriculum.) We thought travel would help our 5 year old son with his education. We live at the edge of a large city, just across the street from a large forest where we hike and catch bugs. We attend a small English church service with Indian, British and Korean families. We enjoy meeting other expat families and missionary families and sharing a meal with our travel stories. My wife enjoys being a mom, adventure and baking. My son enjoys Hot Wheels and taekwondo. I enjoy strong coffee, good books, photography and blogging. -ML
Greetings! We lived in Korea for two years and I homeschooled my son in kindergarten and first grade there. We got back at the end of March and are considering China now. I love Korea! We were north of Seoul in Ilsan and had found some awesome friends. We even went to Gwangju with my husband for a day. Enjoy your time out there
Hi! We moved to Gwangju in February and I homeschool my 2 children. We are Christians too. I love cooking and baking. I'd like to know about your family more. Looking forward to your response. Have a nice day! Mari-t
Hi! It is so good to know a homeschooling family. My name is Song. We have a homeschooling community here in Gwangju. Most of us are Korean families. But we also have a family from South Africa. Three days a week we get together at a local church chuch-homeschooling our children. It is so good to see our children to grow in a community sharing same values with their Godly friends! We basically use SoT curriculum. But it is totally okay for a family to bring their own curriculum. I am wondering if you are still in Gwangju. I would like to hear your homeschooling story too. pipokoko@gmail.com Blessings,
Hi! We have been church-homeschooling our children with more than 10 families in Gwanju. I would like to know your family, too. Would you contact me through my email address, pipokoko@gmail.com? Thanks.
