My flunked a class last year. He was in a big accident and in the hospital and could not pull off a passing grade in one of the classes. His biggest scholarship put him on warning...he could retake it over the summer and pass, and he could keep his scholarship. And he could not flunk another class. He took it over and got an A over the summer. His school requires a foreign language. His mentor at the school is the Japanese teacher. The guy convinced my son to take Japanese. My son always has had language acquisition problems. He has ASD. I suggested he take what he already took in high school-German, or go with an easier language, like Spanish. He went and spoke to his mentor who further encouraged the Japanese. Now, he it is, two weeks in to the semester, and he is a mess. He is very upset because he has made flash cards and everything else and just cannot seem to remember the words/letters he is supposed to memorize. He has a test on Thursday. If he fails or drops this class, he will lose that scholarship. We cannot afford to replace it. It is worth $18,000. I feel awful for him. And the mentor is the one teaching the class. Please pray he gets through this with a passing grade.
Oye. Can he transfer out to another language? Seems like I remember the cut off being three weeks, but I know it's different at different schools. Definitely praying for you guys. *hugs*
AWe praying.... Don't know if this would help but our library gives us free classes on rocket language & Japanese is one of them....
