Jeanne is studying Indians this week as part of our Thanksgiving unit. One of the activities we'll be doing is to come up with Indian names for ourselves.

Mine would be Mourns the Summer- because I do!

 

Mama of many - because I am!

Yes I do Becky! I told them what I wrote and now they are thinking up their Indian names. I will post them when they are done.

The Scrapbook Maker

What is it with scrapbooking?? I'm the only female on this earth who doesn't.

Becky, have you ever made a scrapbook? I was thinking I don't make scrapbooks, either...then I remembered, oh yeah, I made a scrapbook for my baby's birth and I did a couple short ones as a teen!

I shared the Q w/ dh and he says he'll be "Chief Baldhead". He has lots of hair, but he keeps it shaved, almost razor-close. I'll have to think about mine--neat idea!

 

DD9 says she'll be Inventor of Gardens
DS10 says he'll be Lover of Tiny Wildlife!

We're discussing dd1.5 and mama's still thinking....

My dd would be Lover of Horses, my 12-yo ds would be One of Much Energy, My 14-yo ds would be One with Serious Face, One possibility for DH would be Man of Good Values.

 

Dh says his would be "Great White Hunter". Mine would be either Laughs A Lot or Talks To Dogs...or Laughs A Lot While Talking to Dogs . Ds would be Finder of the Easy Way and dd would be One Who Perseveres.

Okay, dd1.5 will be Vivacious Sweetheart; and I will be Contemplative Seeker of Peaceful Places. That was a difficult assignment--I guess it's not too often that I stop to think, "Who am I ?" Hmmm...

I missed this thread....My great grandpa was full blood cherokee Indians My grandma was Osage indian.Her maiden name was Moon. So I will be Lady of the southern moon.

 

My great grandmother was half Creek Indian. Her mother was whole, I guess that would make her my great great grandmother. Duh :lol:
